Collecting resource materials useful for funding, resource mobilization and the Environment Fund, including audit strategies and reports. Around the world, we work in partnership with governments, the scientific community, the private sector, civil society and other United Nations and international organizations. We bring partners together to agree on solutions to our common environmental challenges, for example through the UN Environment Assembly. According to participants, the 2020 consultations between the five Nordic countries – Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden – and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) have led to substantive and open discussions on issues such as climate change, nature and sustainable development. The overall objective of the project is to support the implementation of the GIZC protocol in the Mediterranean by developing regional mechanisms and coordination instruments to combat climate variability and climate change in the region. This objective is achieved by the implementation of four components: the expert draws up a report which addresses the above point: we are working under the aegis of the UN`s 2030 Sustainable Development Programme to identify and address the main environmental issues of our time. Our work is made possible by partners who finance and support our mission, and we need voluntary contributions for 95% of our revenues. Major donors include the Global Environment Fund, the Green Climate Fund and the European Commission.
The Environment Fund is our core source of flexible funds and is the foundation of our global work. For example, it supports the implementation of our work programme, supported by our 193 Member States.
